Responsibility is responding to life appropriately. Instead of withdrawing or simply reacting, going hysterical, resistive and negative, open yourself, Strephon says, to what is happening and deal with it.

Solve the problem. Develop the new potential.

First, do the New Year’s Death-Rebirth sacrifice. Review last year and acknowledge what didn’t work, where you failed and lost out. Also list what you did accomplish of value.

Then in transiting into the new year, sacrifice what no longer serves the value in the new year and new life you are living. This includes friends as well as habits and hobbies.

Then take on new values and projects you want to take on and accomplish.
Take responsibility. Respond.

Also, do not neglect wholeness values. Look at each of the areas of your life and focus your energy in a responsible way. What new thing can you bring to Personal Relating, to Work Projects and Relationships, to Personal Growth?

This is being responsible to the new life emerging before each one of us.

The Benedictus is a dream chant with Strephon's own sound of the chant coming from inner, and of course connected to tradition but also improvise to go with inner spirit.

Strephon talks about choosing and having purpose in the New Year. We are nothing but a flash of existence, like a firework exploding unless we use a greater value to live by.

He knows Christianity through growing up in an Episcopal boarding school then going to a military school with the insistence on church every Sunday, then the last two years, the best, in a Quaker high school. Strephon has taught a number of people at collage and adult levels on the historical Jesus texts as spiritual texts, along with teachings in Hasidic stories and Zen stories.

Imagine the power these standing men feel, ordered, or volunteering to guard these women who are no physical threat to them. How can anyone be so evil? How they must have destroyed their own ability to love in life. For the women, they have lost life because there is no one to protect them from such evil, and they cannot protect themselves. We note especially the young woman with the long pigtails. Imagine that it is just that morning that she or her mother, or a friend, has made those pigtails for her as a sign of warmth, affection and love - love of life and beauty as well. They made her strip but she has kept her pigtails, signifying the wonder and beauty of life that is her right but is now being taken away from her. In our hearts we are very, very sad for her and her situation. We also cry out in frustration and rage that we could not have been there to have decimated these killers of the best that is life. In the end we simply pray that we ourselves respect and love more than we hurt and destroy with our own beliefs and actions. We pray that we are doing our part in life to stop evil whenever we can.

We take an adult dream about childhood dynamics and point out how the dream shows the dreamer's struggle to become fully herself by seeing her parents now in their true reality, including their dark sides that she must watch out for. (17 minutes)

Principles to live by:
-Separate out from parents to be your own person.
-Make conscious your childhood identity created by your biological parents so that you can free yourself from this childhood identity and become truly adult in an adult world.
-Use your dreams and dreamwork to separate out from inner images and attitudes of childhood attached to images of parents and you as a child.
-The work of becoming adult means freeing yourself of childhood images, expectations, defense systems, attitudes and values.
-Become your own person. Choose to be your own self in your adult life.

The inner key to adult life is to remove from your inner self the parental influences of childhood that keep you dependent inside to the images and attitudes put on you in childhood.
Thus, even if you are not seeing your parents, or living with them, you can still be controlled by the image of yourself that you had to identify with, even as you rebelled, so as to get along with your parents who dominated you in childhood.

Dream
I dreamed a man was in a casket...had been embalmed...I walked by and saw his body was lightly covered with fine , greyish ( like what looks like mice have been shredding). Apparently he had been in the casket a while... the shocker was this..as I was looking at the body he started opening his eyes...and they had the slimy stuff like fish's eyes... I was terrified but I still made a tremendous effort to get other's attention to say he must not be buried ...he's coming back!!! Then a white coated dr. scientist "type" woman came to me and said....No way ,,,we have never seen this actually happen and it's too late.... I gathered my friends and we hurried and pushed the casket thru an old maze like barn area where horses and cows were kept...we were going to hide him so they could not bury him...any comments?
